In social studies this week students are continuing to learn
more about a geographer’s favorite tool … maps! Students will be creating their
own basic maps of places familiar to them and we will be learning about latitude
and longitude. We will be learning how to use latitude and longitude to
determine absolute location, and then we will be practicing our skills in a
variety of ways including a latitude and longitude battleship game. Looking
